Salt Lake Art Center

The Salt Lake Art Center showcases contemporary art. It was founded in 1931 and is in the center of Salt Lake City. They also offer workshops, film screenings, panel discussions, and educational programs.

Want to know the best part? Admission is free.

They have Art Saturday which is for families. An upcoming event is creating solar prints and creating masterpieces with sidewalk chalk in the sculpture garden, sounds really cool. My kids and I have participated in some of these Art Saturdays and have had a blast.

There is also the Art Truck. Yes, it is mobile. The last exhibit was hands on and we were able to create and add to the art display.

If you live in Salt Lake be sure to offer your support and visit the gallery. If you are visiting Salt Lake be sure to stop by and experience contemporary art at its best.

Enjoy, ~Alie

  1. Thanks for dropping by from #CommentHour and leaving your sweet comment on! I’m thrilled you did! How about that? There aren’t really that many “jeanette’s” out there, and to find someone who’s related to a jeanette! I love it!

  2. Hey Alie- I just wanted to say Hi, and thanks for stopping by my blog last night during the SITS Comment Hour. I hope you found some blogs you like. 🙂
