Today I am sharing several workshops that I have taken at The Peackock Cafe with Sheila. You can get a glimpse of Sheila’s talent on her blog, Blessed and Distressed.

In an earlier post I recommended a soldering book by Lisa Bluhm entitled, Simple Soldered Jewelry and Accessories. It is an excellent source for soldering with great photos and instruction. Along with Lisa Bluhm’s book is Sally Jean Alexander’s book, Pretty Little Things. It is a beautiful book full of treasures and ideas.

It turns out the Sheila has taken workshops instructed by Sally Jean Alexander and has learned amazing things. Taking workshops is a wonderful way to gain skills because you can always learn something new. I learned some tips and techniques that have really helped me in soldering.

The Peacock Cafe is hosting their last workshop this Saturday the 19th. If you are in the Kansas area be sure to check it out. It will be a fun one.
