Have you visited the Google Art Project? It was launched in February 2011 and includes seventeen galleries and 1,061 high-resolution images. They are displayed in 385 gallery rooms. Wikipedia has more details regarding the pixels used, opinions expressed about the project, and a few images from the gallery.
Recently, the Google Art Project visited the White House and created a 360 degree virtual tour.
What do you think about viewing art virtually? What about the White House project, do you think it is beneficial?
